The inaugural Summit was both aspirational and awe-inspiring, and we wanted to experiment with a visual language that captured that while also overtly referencing Anne Lister. Just like climbing a mountain, the journey of researching Anne Lister's life can be challenging and requires perseverance.
We selected classic black and white photography of the highest of the French Pyrenean summit peaks, which Lister herself summited, to convey this. This iconic imagery of Vignemale perfectly encapsulates Anne Lister's pioneering spirit and her enduring legacy as a scholar and mountaineer.
